Tameaka Reid Sims is a dynamic Biblical Teacher, a celebrated Author, Philanthropist and sought-after Public Speaker. Renowned for her bold, down-to-earth, practical, and humorous approach to presenting the Gospel, making the word easy to understand for all ages & backgrounds. Her life’s mission is to teach people how to engage more effectively with God so that their lives are improved and their purpose fulfilled. Her love for sharing the word of God with others is the impetus for all she does.

Tameaka is committed to a life of service, and she finds immense honor in serving God’s people by using the many gifts and talents that have been afforded to her. On a weekly basis she empowers thousands to experience God’s grace, restoration, and healing, as a result of delivering simple, biblical principles they can apply in their daily lives.

Tameaka Reid Sims attended Wilberforce University, Cleveland State University, and University of Phoenix. She is the Founder and CEO of Tameaka Reid Sims Ministries, a global ministry that is transforming people’s relationships with God. In addition, she has diligently served as an Executive and Founding Pastor throughout the past twelve years in Cleveland, Ohio, and Harrisburg, PA. and currently serving at Greater Grant A.M.E. Church alongside her husband in Jacksonville, FL.

Whether on her daily online broadcast - Awaken in the Word, by radio, television, facilitating prayer retreats, small groups, women’s conferences, publishing, or through training congregations to embrace a lifestyle of prayer; God continues to use her ministry to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and increase intimacy between God and His people.

Tameaka has authored several books including God Speaks - a 30 Day devotional that is impacting lives of people throughout the US, Brazil, Germany, and South Africa. Prayer - The Most Beautiful Language: A candid guide to mastering prayer, 73 Creative Ideas for Women’s Ministry,  Unforgiveness,  or most recently, Indistinct Chatter, they are all instruments that God uses to transform lives daily.

Tameaka is married to Rev. Micah C.T. Sims; the mother of Micah II, Jeremiah, Reiley, Christopher, and Joshua; and the proud daughter of Rev. Dr. Wesley and Mrs. Kathleen Reid, of Cleveland, Ohio.
